Tattoo Care Instructions

The life of your tattoo depends upon the care it receives in the first 2 weeks. Keep the tattoo covered with the bandage for at least two hours. After this time remove the bandage and wash it thoroughly with soap and water. Be sure to remove all surface blood and rinse off all soap. Lightly pat dry.

Wash your tattoo a minimum of four times a day for the first two days and leave dry. Do not apply any ointments or lotions during this time. Starting on day three wash twice a day and apply an unscented or fragrance free moisturizer (curel, lubriderm, aveeno, eucerin, etc) or hand lotion after washing and/or when dry. Do this for approximately seven days or until peeling ends.

  *do not let your tattoo dry out*
• 
  *no sunning or tanning for two weeks*
• 
  *no swimming, hot tubs, whirlpools, or saunas for two weeks, normal showering is fine*
• 
  *do not apply Alchohol or peroxide*
• 
  *do not use any scented or colored lotions*
• 
  *do not pick or scratch it*

The tattoo will develop a layer of dry skin. Let this skin fall off naturally. After the skin has fallen off there will be a period of adjustment. It is advisable to apply a lotion during this time. The care of your tattoo is your responsibility after you leave the shop.
